Worth take Hwy 287 to Dumas, TX; from Dumas take Hwy 87 to Clayton, NM; from Clayton take Hwy 56 to Springer, NM; from Springer take I-25 3 miles north to Hwy 58 exit to Cimarron, NM; from Cimarron take Hwy 64 thru Cimarron Pass (slow going) to Eagle Nest, NM; turn North in Eagle Nest to Red River, NM (15 miles).
Coming from Oklahoma City, OK take I-40 to Amarillo, TX; take Loop 335 to connect on north side to Amarillo to Hwy 287/87 to Dumas; from Dumas take Hwy 87 to Clayton; from Clayton take Hwy 56 to Springer, then Cimarron, Eagle Nest and into Red River.
From Houston/San Antonio take I-10 to Hwy 87, and then north to Dumas, TX; from Dumas take Hwy 87 to Clayton, then Springer, Cimarron, Eagle Nest, Red River.
From Albuquerque, NM take I-25 to Santa Fe, NM; from Santa Fe take Hwy 68 to Taos, NM; from Taos take Hwy 3 to Questa, NM; turn right at the light in Questa to Red River, NM (12 miles). (Much easier route for RV's)
From Denver, CO take I-25 south to Walsenburg; take Hwy 160 west to Ft. Garland; take 159 south to Questa; left at light to Red River, 12 miles.
Travel times: 6 hours from Dallas to Amarillo. 5 hours from Amarillo to Red River. (Gain an hour when crossing NM border).
4 hours from Oklahoma City to Amarillo; 5 hours from Amarillo to Red River.
4 hours from Albuquerque to Red River, NM.
